Reasons Food Delivery Drivers (UberEats, Doordash, Grubhub) steal the food

This blog is dedicated to ... "What we consume the most ... MUSIC"! The first post has to be the best one!" here's our first Dedication:

It's important to approach this topic with sensitivity and understanding, recognizing that not all food delivery drivers engage in theft and that those who do may have various reasons behind their actions. Here I will point out a potential reasons why some food delivery drivers might steal the food:

1. **The Resturant and it's staff:** Most delivery drivers are struggling financially, and the temptation to take food arises out of a need to supplement their income from the extensive wait, but more important is the treatment they receive by all 3 parties (the resturant and their staff, the customer and the delivery service customer service representatives) when making a simple delivery. A user on tiktok at the handel "@justleavemealonedouche" shared an experience for all of us to learn from.

@justleavemealonedouche Story time about an angry Uber Eats Driver that came into the restaurant 😂😂😂😂 #server #serverlife #servertiktok #serverproblems #servertok ♬ original sound - Oh My Sweet Lord ✝️✡️🦁

Wow ... so accordingly 70% of delivery drivers are "WHAT A RESTURANT EMPLOYEE SAID" which happens to be so far from any truth, in fact a large part of the food delivery staff are a product of "Covid Lockdowns". It can be found via a goodle search that"

"Uber Eats revenue now exceeds that of its ride-hailing arm, reaching $8.3 billion in 2021, a 72% year-over-year increase. DoorDash also increased its growth rate, though to a lesser degree. From 2019 to 2020, the company's revenue rose from $885 million to $2.88 billion."

Omg ... I can't keep doing this but "The same 70% that he said is trash just so happens to be a community that was 100% presence and accounted for to save the business he works at during a pandemic." so we as a society have to stop with the bullcrap! Treat them like people and they might not steal the food because low wages and lack of stable employment, or insufficient compensation for the work might lead them to any hungry person to resort to stealing food as a means of survival. What I mean is "How we treat people can determine how they act when they return. Here's a gift (and I don't do this often because Tupac said "The Game is to be Sold not told".

Tupac also said "The power is in the people but politics we address, always do your best! Dont let the pressure make you panic and when you get stained and things don't go the way you planed it ... dream of the riches and a position of making a difference"

As a society we have to make a change. If you disagree don't be no coward because we all live in a different world now. Help the people around you understand how I made you feel. I'm just 1 voice but this doesn't have to turn into a college campus. Here's a basic script. If you chose to disreguard it I don't care because your going to lose money however if you regard it we will all make more money ... "

This is just a basic script

Food Delivery Driver: I have a pick up for John Doe.

Resturant Staff: John, John, John ... you have (on a different shirt/in a different car/those shoes make you look taller) you just look different. Oh here it is ... yes John Doe it's going to be a 70 minute wait...

Food Delivery Driver: 70 mintues!

Resturant Staff: Oh of course not, it will be ready in 9 mintues.
3 minute later

Resturant Staff: Omg this belongs to you Bartholomew. I hope I said that right but, just go while its still hot.

Boom! ... with that we just changed everything. The goal is not to impress the app but to impress the customer. The only way we can do that as a collective group is to treat the delivery driver like one of us, treat the driver like trash and the customer get's cold food or NO FOOD!

It doesn't take a lot of development and research to figure out the lifecycle of delivery service drivers. From the business side let's show a little apprication by offering them a cold drink when the there could be a long wait, or a small sample of something you provide. Small things like this communicates to the delivery service drivers that he/she is also a valuable asset to eco system, releases stress from traffic and most of all helps them forget about the tip because how your staff engages with the delivery service drivers determines how they will drive on public roads and interact with the customer. If you disagree here's a proof.

These drivers were likely starving with no real window to stop and take a bite to eat because of the wait. We all have to remember their still people just like you and I.
